Great location, just a short walk to the subway and Central Park!

I was drawn to the Hi New York City for its proximity to the Guggenheim Museum, a spot I've longed to explore. However, the hostel's free events and programs pleasantly surprised me, offering connections to both well-known and lesser-known corners of New York. The free Wi-Fi, movie lounge, and large patio were also delightful features.

hi new york city is a great place for the price. Very close to the subway station with lines that go to the main places. the staff was helpful and booked me a cab at 5 am when I checked out. the beds are comfortable, and there is space to charge your cell phone on each bed. the shared bathrooms were clean, and the hostel felt safe at all times. the kitchen is great and the staff is friendly. it's a great base to explore the city from.

I loved the variety of activities offered by Hi New York City. The nightly events made my stay memorable and enjoyable. I particularly enjoyed the guided tours that allowed me to explore the city. I'll recommend this hotel.

the place is super clean, and the location is awesome! so close to central park and a few museums. the staff is really friendly, and they even have an air purifier in every room.

Staying at this hostel in the heart of Manhattan was an incredible experience. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, ensuring that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The dormitory we stayed in was clean and well-maintained, with all the necessary amenities such as air conditioning and Wi-Fi. The shared kitchen was fully equipped and perfect for preparing our vegetarian and vegan meals. The location was unbeatable, with easy access to the subway and key points of interest in Manhattan. our week-long stay was fantastic and we would highly recommend this hostel.
The pricing discrepancy between the reserved price and the actual price upon check-in was a slight disappointment.
